My name is Renan Colzani.
I'm 25 years old and have a bachelor's degree in Animation from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. I currently live in Florianópolis, Brazil.
I've been connected to arts, creation and communication since I was a kid, what led me to enroll in a technician course in Civil Construction at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Tecnology of Santa Catarina (IFSC) in 2012 and, after graduating high school, to enroll in an undergraduate course for Theater at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC) in 2017, of which I only took an year because I realized I actually wanted to study animation.
While studying animation I got the chance to work on both 2D and 3D animation projects, as well as stop-motion, illustration and screenwriting, but ended up understanding my passion was actually at video editing, mostly for knowing how much of a powerfull storytelling tool it could be.
After a few years of studying and understanding I wanted to work with video editing, I took a moment to focus on working and developing that skill in a professional setting. That moment was supposed to last six months, but it ended up lasting two and a half years, during which I worked first an intern in video editing and design, then as freelancer until I took a fulltime job as editor in Dia Estúdio, a company set in São Paulo, Brazil. After realizing I needed more freetime to be able to graduate college, I left my last job and started working as a freelance video editor, which I still do to this moment.
I'm currently looking for a fulltime job mostly as video editor, but I also have the competences to work with motion design and 3D modeling/animation.
